Creamery Falls is a charming cascade tucked along Otsquago Creek within the Robert B. Woodruff Outdoor Learning Center, a well-maintained nature preserve that gives you surprisingly clean compositions for a roadside waterfall. The falls drop into a shallow pool framed by mossy rock walls and overhanging trees, making it a natural candidate for long-exposure shots that smooth out the water against the textured stone. Position yourself low at the creek's edge to capture the full drop with the pool in the foreground, or step back and use the wooden footbridges as leading lines into the frame. Overcast days are ideal here since the canopy already filters light and cloud cover eliminates harsh shadows; midday sun creates uneven patches that are difficult to manage. A wide to standard lens in the 24-50mm range handles the scene well. Waterproof footwear helps if you want to get closer to the base. (Van Hornesville, New York, United States)
