Dent de Nendaz Summit
Standing at 2463m, Dent de Nendaz offers sweeping panoramic views across the Rhône Valley and into the high peaks of the Pennine Alps, making it one of the more accessible alpine summits for photographers in the region. From the top, you can shoot wide across the valley with a 16-35mm lens to capture the full spread of peaks, or turn your attention to the rocky foreground details that add depth to mountain compositions. The ridge leading to the summit works well as a natural leading line drawing the eye toward the horizon. Early morning light is ideal, with soft golden tones raking across the valley before midday haze builds up. Take the cable car from Haute-Nendaz to Tracouet at 2200m, then follow the 30-minute trail to the peak; the path itself offers good compositions along the way, especially around Lac Noir.
