Felgueiras Lighthouse
Felgueiras Lighthouse is a 19th century lighthouse at the mouth of the Douro River, built with granite in a distinctive hexagonal shape. It stands about 10m tall on a stone pier, with waves often crashing around it, which makes it a really dynamic subject to shoot. The walkway leading out to the lighthouse gives you strong leading lines, and you can change your angle depending on how much of the river or ocean you want in the frame. It is a great spot for long exposures when the water is rough, or cleaner compositions on calmer days. The open setting also works well for drone photography. Sunset is especially nice here, with warm light hitting the stone and water. (Porto, Portugal)
