Foggintor Quarry is an abandoned granite quarry that used to supply stone for major buildings and infrastructure in the 1800s. Today, it is a quiet spot with steep rock faces, large cut stone blocks, and a deep pool of water at the centre, all surrounded by open moorland. The mix of rough rock, calm water, and wide views gives you plenty to work with, whether you are shooting reflections or focusing on textures and shapes. It is a great place for moodier shots, especially when the weather changes or light is low. You can shoot from the edges looking down into the quarry or walk around to find more grounded angles and details. It takes a bit of a walk to reach, but once you are there, there is lots of space to explore and take your time. (Yelverton, England, United Kingdom)
