Spodsbjerg Fyr sits on top of a scenic cliff on the north coast of Zealand, between the town of Hundested and the small village of Kikhavn. The coastline drops sharply to the beach below, and from the top you get open views across the Kattegat toward Hesselø. On a clear day you can even see as far as Sweden. The lighthouse itself is modest in size with a pop of red. It sits within a partially protected landscape of steep slopes, rugged terrain, and low greenery giving you plenty of foreground options and natural framing. The location also sits next to the historic home of Danish polar explorer Knud Rasmussen, adding an extra layer of character to the scene. A coastal trail runs from here toward Kikhavn, so you can experiment with vantage points along the cliff edge rather than shooting from one fixed spot. Sunset looking out over the water is a strong option, and the elevated cliff position means you stay above any haze sitting at sea level. (Hundested, North Zealand, Denmark)
