Galetta Falls
Galetta Falls is a lovely series of falls and rapids on the Mississippi River. Located at the site of a hydropower plant, this location is hard to photograph without the aid of a drone, but if you own a drone, this is a great spot to fly and take photos with your drone. It is one of the few large waterfall locations around Ottawa where it is legal to fly a drone. The hydro plant was originally built in 1907 and has undergone many upgrades since, continuing to supply power to the local grid. In the spring, the water rushes powerfully over the falls and downstream, and in the summer, the falls are a bit tamer and less dramatic but still quite beautiful. (Galetta, Ontario, Canada)
