Glacier-des-Diablerets Peak Walk
Perched at 3,000 meters in the Swiss Alps, this high-altitude attraction pairs a glass-floored suspension bridge with sweeping glacier views that stretch toward the Bernese Oberland and beyond. The bridge itself is a natural subject, and shooting from the platform on either end gives you a strong leading line disappearing into the mountain haze, with jagged peaks framing both sides. Wide-angle lenses work well here to capture the full scale of the glacier below and the sky above, while a longer focal length lets you compress the distant snowfields into dramatic layers. Midday light can wash out the snow, so aim for morning or late afternoon when low-angle sun adds texture to the ice and shadow detail to the surrounding ridgelines. The site is accessible via cable car from Reusch or Col du Pillon, so you arrive without a strenuous climb, leaving you free to focus on composition. (Ormont-Dessus, Vaud, Switzerland)
