Glaumbær is a small village near the Skagafjörður and has been converted into the Glaumbær Farm & Museum. The museum features turf houses that visitors can explore. The turf houses are a unique construction method in Iceland and the technique provided excellent insulation compared to stone or wood construction materials. There is also the cute and photogenic Glaumbær church nearby that makes a great subject on its own or as a backdrop to photos taken at the museum. (Glaumbær, Iceland)
