Hudson River Waterfront Walkway
Stretching along the Jersey City waterfront, this walkway gives you some of the most direct and unobstructed views of the Lower Manhattan skyline across the Hudson River. Position yourself along the pier near the Hyatt Hotel to frame the iconic Colgate Clock in the foreground with the glittering towers of One World Trade and the Financial District rising behind it, a combination that is hard to find anywhere else. A wide to standard zoom in the 24-70mm range works well for capturing the full skyline, while a longer lens lets you compress the clock against the buildings behind it. Blue hour and early evening are the standout times to shoot here, when the city lights begin to reflect off the water and the sky holds just enough color to balance the artificial light.
