Kayserberg

Kayserberg - Photo by David Lally1 / 1

Kaysersberg is a small town between Riquewihr and Colmar in the Alsace region of eastern France. It is generally considered to be one of the most impressive of the Alsace towns, particularly the town's picturesque medieval centre. The Weiss River runs through the town, crossed by a 16th-century fortified stone bridge that creates one of the most photogenic scenes. Overlooking the village are the ruins of Château de Kaysersberg, offering panoramic views of rooftops and surrounding vineyards. Photographers can capture intimate details of flower-decked windows and shopfronts as well as sweeping scenes of the village framed by rolling hills. Best visited in the golden hours of morning or evening, Kaysersberg is easily explored on foot and remains one of the most enchanting spots in Alsace. (Kaysersberg, France)
