Keri Caves
Keri Caves are a dramatic cluster of sea caves, natural arches, and sculpted limestone cliffs along the southwestern coast of Zakynthos, accessible only by boat or kayak. The interplay of turquoise water, golden rock, and filtered light pouring through arch openings gives you constantly shifting compositions depending on where you position yourself. Shoot from inside the caves looking outward to frame the arch opening against the bright sea beyond, or stay outside and use the arches as natural frames around swimmers or passing boats. Midmorning light works well when the sun is high enough to illuminate the cave interiors without harsh shadows, though the soft golden tones of late afternoon add warmth to the limestone walls. Bring a wide angle lens to capture the full scale of the larger cave chambers, and consider a waterproof housing if you plan to shoot at water level. (Keri, Zakynthos, Greece)
