Lago Mandrone
Lago Mandrone sits high in the Adamello Brenta region near Spiazzo, and it is one of those spots that really feels tucked into the mountains. The lake is fed by glacial water, giving it a muted, slightly milky tone that contrasts nicely with the rocky terrain and surrounding peaks. It is a great place to work on clean, minimal compositions or wider shots that bring in the scale of the landscape. The hike in takes a bit of effort, but the trail itself is scenic and gives you plenty to shoot along the way, from streams to alpine textures. Once you reach the lake, the open space and quiet setting make it easy to slow down and explore different angles. Early morning usually gives you the calmest water and softer light, which works especially well for reflections.
