Lake Irene

Lake Irene is a small alpine lake located just off of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, that has peaceful still waters and a surrounding pine forest. The lake’s smooth surface often reflects the nearby peaks, creating balanced and serene compositions ideal for wide-angle or reflection photography. A short, easy trail leads from the parking area to the water’s edge, making it accessible for all visitors. Early morning provides the best light and calmest conditions, while summer brings colorful wildflowers to the surrounding meadows.
