Leake Street Tunnel
Running beneath Waterloo Station, this 300-metre pedestrian tunnel is one of London's most dynamic street art canvases, where the walls, ceiling, and floor are covered in constantly rotating graffiti and murals that make every visit feel different from the last. Shoot straight down the tunnel to use the curved ceiling and converging walls as a strong leading line, or work closer to individual pieces with a wide angle lens to capture the layered texture and colour. The tunnel is artificially lit throughout, so you can shoot any time of day without worrying about natural light; the even, diffused illumination works well for both detail shots and full-length portraits. A 16-35mm or similar wide angle lens gets the most out of the space. The tunnel runs off York Road near Waterloo Station and is easy to reach on foot, with enough depth and variety to keep you busy for hours. (London, England, United Kingdom)
