Limmatquai View
Standing on the opposite bank of the Limmat, you get a clean, unobstructed view of Limmatquai's row of guild houses and historic facades stretching along the water. The reflections on the river add a strong mirroring element to your compositions, so shooting during calm conditions makes a real difference. Early morning is the best time to visit, when soft light hits the buildings directly and the water is still before boat traffic picks up. The Rathausbrücke and nearby bridges work well as foreground anchors, and a moderate wide-angle lens lets you capture the full sweep of the promenade without distortion. You can also tighten up with a short telephoto to isolate individual facades and their reflections. The area is easy to reach on foot from the city center, and the pedestrian paths along the opposite bank give you flexibility to shift your position. (Zürich, Switzerland)
