Litlefjellet is a mountain ridge in the Romsdalen valley that puts you at eye level with some of Norway's most dramatic alpine scenery, including direct views of the towering Trollveggen wall and the jagged peaks of Romsdalshorn. From the ridge, you can frame the valley below with the Rauma river winding through sandy beaches and patches of forest, while Store Venjetinden rises behind you as a compelling backdrop. Small ponds along the ridge offer foreground reflections of the surrounding peaks, especially useful on calm days. A wide-angle lens handles the sweeping valley compositions well, while a short telephoto lets you isolate rock faces and distant ridgelines. Morning light hits the eastern faces cleanly and adds depth to the valley, while evening light warms the western slopes. The hike to the top requires solid footwear and reasonable fitness, but no technical climbing. (Brønnsletta, Møre og Romsdal, Norway)
