The London Graphic Centre mural is a wall of bright, blocky colour on Mercer Street in Covent Garden. Rob Lowe, who signs his work Supermundane, painted it in 2021 using bold tones and hard edged shapes, with 'Creativity is in all of us' lettered across the middle. The whole wall is painted top to bottom, so the colour fills your frame with no dead space. The rich colours make an amazing backdrop for portraits, and the bold lettering gives you a ready made caption in the shot. It's a tall wall on a narrow lane, so you'll have to step back to capture all of it but since the mural fills the mini courtyard there is a surprising amount of space to move around. The buildings around it keep the light soft for most of the day. Cars and pallets sometimes clutter the base, so a clean full shot might take some patience or creativity in your framing. The wall is public art so it is free to shoot and accessible all the time. Its a great spot to experiment with street photography and into the evening as the lights of the city come on.
