Palace of Mafra is a monumental Baroque and Italianized Neoclassical palace-monastery that dates back to 1717 and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Rococo library (at the back of the second floor) is truly the highlight of this palace, rivalling the grandeur of the library of the Melk Abbey in Austria. (Mafra, Portugal)
