Middle Eye Hilbre Islands
Middle Eye Hilbre Islands is an amazing nature reserve on a series of three tidal islands at the mouth of the estuary of the River Dee. The nature reserve is home to unique rock formations and many bird species. It's a great spot to explore the different tidal zones. The islands can be reached on foot from West Kirby at low tide, remember to keep an eye on the tide coming back in so you don't get trapped when the water starts to come back in.The Islands are cut off from the mainland by the tide for up to four hours out of every 12.
