About Mirador Playa de la Pared
Mirador Playa de la Pared sits out on the rocky point with amazing views stretching out in all directions. Cliffs fall away to dark sand on both sides with a small beach to the north and a much longer one to the south. Since this coastline faces west the sun drops into open Atlantic with nothing in the way creating amazing colours. There is lots of space to set up and capture the southern beach curving off below you. This is also an amazing spot to stay well after sunset and experiment with astrophotography as the whole area is quite peaceful in the dark. During windy days the waves hit the base of the point quite hard, and a slow shutter smooths that whitewater creating amazing contrast against the black rock. This lookout is usually quite quiet, giving you lots of space and time to experiment with compositions and light. (Jandía, Las Palmas, Spain)
