Playa Morro Jable is a long stretch of pale sand run along the southern tip of Fuerteventura. The water shifts from turquoise to deep emerald depending on the cloud cover, and time of day. You can experiment with shooting from the rocky point at the western end of the beach (Mirador de Morro Jable), where you can frame the whole curve of sand and town together with the mountains stacked behind. From the beach the water stretches out endlessly, often dotted with boats along the horizon. Low tide opens up more sand and exposes texture near the rocks at the western edge of the beach. The light works well in the afternoon, when it catches the pale buildings and turns the water a richer green. The sunset colours can be amazing as the sun drops directly into the water reflection it beautifully. A promenade runs along the back of the beach with restaurants and shops to explore while you are waiting for just the right light. Parking gets tight during tourist season, so arrive early if you want the wider views without people filling the frame. (Morro Jable, Fuerteventura, Spain)
