Mölle Harbour

Mölle Harbour was finished in 1881 and is still in use today with a mix of fishing boats and small pleasure craft sharing the waterway. Houses climb the slope above the water in terraces, making it a photogenic little village. You can easily walk out on the pier to set up and capture the unique rows of homes looking out over the bay. The harbour faces southwest, so late light lands on the village and the boats rather than behind them. During the spring and autumn there is amazing sunsets looking out over the open water. Down at quay level, the moored boats and their reflections are fun to experiment with in the early morning before the fishing boats head out for the day. The pier only shelters one side of the bay so a swell can push into the basin and set the masts moving. Parking beside the harbour fills up fast in summer, so make sure to come early or plan on leaving you car up in the village. The Kullaleden trail runs straight through this area if you want carry on to explore the cliffs. Fish kiosks and cafés line the quay in season, so you can wait for the perfect light with a coffee.
