Museum Holstentor
Museum Holstentor, (Holsten Gate) is a well preserved medieval city gate in Lübeck, built in 1464 as part of the city’s original fortifications and now home to a small museum. The structure features two round towers and a central arch, all built in red brick, which gives it a strong and instantly recognizable look. It sits at the edge of the old town, with open green space in front that makes it easy to frame the full building or include foreground elements. The symmetry of the gate works well for centred compositions, while side angles can help add depth and context with the surrounding area. Early morning or late afternoon light brings out the texture in the brick, and it is also worth visiting in the evening when the gate is lit up. It is easy to access on foot and is one of the main landmarks in Lübeck. (Lübeck, Germany)
