Oxbow Bend is one of the most iconic wildlife and landscape viewpoints in Grand Teton National Park, where a calm curve of the Snake River reflects Mount Moran and the surrounding peaks in still water that can feel almost mirror-like in the right conditions. Early morning is when this place truly shines; the light comes up soft and golden behind you, illuminating the face of Mount Moran and the Skillet Glacier while mist often hovers over the water in the warmer months. Position yourself along the southern bank and use the curve of the river as a leading line pulling toward the mountains. A longer focal length lets you compress the scene and bring the peaks closer, while a wide angle captures the full sweep of water and sky. Polarizing filters help reduce glare and deepen reflections. The pullout is accessible directly off Highway 89 and requires no hiking. (Moran, Wyoming, United States)
