Stretching 190 meters along a waterfront wall in Rio's port district, this record-breaking mural by Eduardo Kobra is a riot of geometric color, depicting indigenous faces from five continents in bold black, green, blue, red, and gold. The scale alone makes it a challenge worth planning for: a wide-angle lens lets you capture the full sweep of the wall, while a longer focal length pulls out individual portrait sections with striking detail. Walk the length of the mural to find your favorite face or color block, then step back to include the ground-level reflections after rain for added depth. Midday light can be harsh but works surprisingly well here since the wall faces away from direct glare; overcast skies are ideal for even, saturated color without blown highlights. The mural runs alongside a public walkway and is fully accessible on foot with no restrictions. (Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
