Playa del Roque de las Bodegas

Playa del Roque de las Bodegas is a rugged beach on the northeastern coast of Tenerife in the Anaga Rural Park. The beach is incredibly photogenic with its volcanic sand, scattered rocks, and the dramatic cliffs that rise steeply behind it. Strong Atlantic waves roll in here, giving the shoreline a raw, untamed feel that contrasts with the calmer, more developed beaches elsewhere on the island. A few simple restaurants sit just behind the beach, adding a bit of local character without taking away from the natural setting. The mix of textures, shifting light, and constantly moving surf makes it a solid spot for coastal photography, especially when clouds move through the mountains and out over the ocean.
