Pont du Diable and Pont de Saint-Jean-de-Fos
Le Pont du Diable and the Pont de Saint-Jean-de-Fos are a unique pair of stone bridges that span the Hérault River near the village of Saint-Jean-de-Fos. The older Pont du Diable, a medieval stone arch bridge, stands upstream and is framed by rugged cliffs and turquoise river water, while the newer road bridge sits nearby with a clear view of the original structure. From the banks or nearby trails, photographers can capture both bridges in a single frame, especially effective during early morning or late afternoon when the light highlights the stone and landscape. Swimming areas and river access allow for low angle shots and reflections. The site is accessible by car with nearby parking and walking paths. (Saint-Jean-de-Fos, Occitanie, France)
