Regensburger Hof
Standing on Lugeck in Vienna, the Regensburger Hof has been a significant location since the 14th century. The building has gone through numerous modifications and rebuilds over the centuries, yet it retains an aura of history and grandeur. Notably, it was the site of a historic meeting in February 1470 between Emperor Friedrich III and the Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus. Despite numerous protests, the original structure was demolished during the late 19th-century urban redevelopment of Vienna. In 1897, its successor was constructed, designed by the architect Neumann. This commercial building mirrors the aesthetic of its predecessor but on a considerably larger scale. The Regensburger Hof is an excellent spot for architectural photography and captures the essence of Vienna's long and storied history. (Lugeck, Vienna, Austria)
