Reguliersgracht
Reguliersgracht is one of Amsterdam's most beloved canal intersections, where you can see seven arched bridges receding into the distance from a single vantage point, creating a striking tunnel of light and reflection. Stand on the Keizersgracht bridge looking south along the Reguliersgracht to line up the bridges in sequence, a composition that works beautifully with a telephoto lens to compress the perspective and stack the arches tightly together. The best time to shoot is around blue hour and into dusk, when the bridge lanterns and canal house lights reflect off the dark water and the sky still holds enough color to separate the rooflines. A wide aperture helps in low light, but a tripod is the smarter choice for sharp long exposures that smooth out any ripples. The area is walkable and easy to navigate, with multiple bridge positions to experiment with framing and reflection angles. (Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands)
