Riverside Walk
Riverside Walk runs along the bank of the Thames in Kingston, offering a relaxed stretch of waterfront with classic views across the river toward a mix of houseboats, weeping willows, and the far bank's greenery. The path gives you plenty of room to work with, from wide compositions that take in the full sweep of the river to tighter shots isolating the boats and their reflections in calm water. Shoot early in the morning for the best light and the fewest people, when the golden hour glow hits the water and the surface is often glassy and still. A 24-70mm lens handles most situations well here, covering both sweeping river views and compressed shots of the opposite bank. Low tide exposes the gravelly shore and gives you foreground texture to work with. The walk is fully accessible from Kingston town centre and runs for a good stretch in either direction.
