Seacombe Waterfront

Seacombe Waterfront sits on the Wirral side of the River Mersey, directly across from Liverpool's UNESCO-listed waterfront, giving you a wide, unobstructed view of the Three Graces: the Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building, and Port of Liverpool Building. The promenade stretches far enough that you can shift your position to compress or spread the skyline, and a wide-angle lens in the 16-24mm range works well for capturing the full sweep of the waterfront. Sunset is the standout time to visit, as the light falls directly onto the Liverpool skyline and turns the buildings golden; blue hour shortly after extends the window with beautiful reflections on the water. You can reach Seacombe easily by Mersey Ferry or by car, with parking nearby. Try shooting from low near the water's edge to pick up reflections, or walk north and south along the promenade to find tighter compositions. (Seacombe, Wallasey, England)
