Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre
The Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre is a striking piece of contemporary architecture on Toronto Metropolitan University's downtown campus, defined by its massive angled glass facade that cascades across multiple floors and catches light in dramatically different ways depending on the time of day. Shoot from across Gould Street to capture the full scale of the building, using the street and sidewalk as a leading line toward the structure. A wide-angle lens works well here to emphasize the geometric complexity of the glazed exterior, while a longer focal length lets you isolate the repeating grid patterns and interior layers visible through the glass. Blue hour and dusk are ideal, when the warm interior lighting contrasts against the cooling sky and the facade begins to glow from within. The building is right in the heart of downtown, easily walkable from Yonge-Dundas Square. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
