Yonge-Dundas Square is Toronto's Times Square equivalent, a pedestrian plaza surrounded on all sides by massive LED billboards, digital signage, and illuminated storefronts that create a vibrant, light-saturated environment day and night. The square rewards wide-angle shooting, letting you capture the full wrap of screens and signage towering above the crowd, but a longer focal length lets you isolate faces, reflections, and graphic details within the chaos. After dark is when the square truly comes alive, with the artificial light turning the wet pavement into a mirror on rainy nights, giving you strong reflections to work with. Shoot from ground level looking up to emphasize the scale of the signage, or position yourself at the northeast or southwest corners for a diagonal composition that pulls the eye through the frame. The square is open and accessible at all hours. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
