Slottsfjelltårnet
Slottsfjelltårnet is a striking 19th-century stone tower perched on Slottsfjellet hill, offering panoramic views over Tønsberg, the fjord, and the surrounding islands that make it one of the most rewarding vantage points in the region. From the top, you can shoot wide across the rooftops toward the water, framing the town against the Oslofjord, or look for compression with a longer lens to stack the layers of sea, islands, and sky. The tower itself is also worth shooting from below, where the rough stone walls and medieval character reward a wide angle looking upward. Golden hour light in either direction works well here, with morning giving soft warmth from the east and evening light casting long shadows across the hillside. The hill is accessible via a short walk from the town center, and the elevated position means you are largely free of obstructions in most directions. (Tønsberg, Vestfold, Norway)
