St. Lawrence Market
St. Lawrence Market is one of Toronto's oldest and most atmospheric public markets, housed in a grand redbrick building that has anchored the St. Lawrence neighbourhood since the early 1900s. Inside, the vaulted ceilings, hanging signs, vendor stalls, and warm artificial lighting create a layered, busy scene that rewards a wide-angle lens for environmental shots or a short telephoto for isolating vendors and food details. The main south market hall is best in the morning on weekdays when crowds are manageable and vendors are actively setting up, giving you candid moments and good energy without too much obstruction. Look up to capture the arched ceiling against the market activity below, or position yourself at the end of an aisle to use the stall rows as natural leading lines. Bring a fast lens since interior light is mixed and dim in places. Street level on Front Street also gives you a strong exterior shot of the facade. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
