Sverd i fjell places three towering bronze swords rising dramatically from the rocky shoreline of Hafrsfjord, the largest standing over ten meters tall, making for a striking and unusual subject against the open water and sky. You can shoot from low down on the rocks to exaggerate the height of the swords and use them as strong vertical elements against a wide sky, or step back to capture all three together with the fjord stretching out behind them. Golden hour light works beautifully here, especially in the late afternoon when warm tones catch the weathered bronze. A wide angle lens lets you get close and emphasize scale, while a longer focal length compresses the swords against distant water or dramatic clouds. The site is easily accessible with a short walk from a nearby parking area, and the surrounding rocks give you plenty of positions to explore. (Hafrsfjord, Rogaland, Norway)
