The Circle
The Circle is a large-scale mixed-use complex directly adjacent to Zurich Airport, built with bold geometric facades, repeating grid patterns, and long covered walkways that reward architectural photography at every turn. You will find strong leading lines running through the colonnaded passages, and the interplay between glass reflections and solid concrete gives you a lot to work with in terms of contrast and depth. Shoot along the ground-level arcades with a wide angle lens, around 16 to 24mm, to exaggerate the perspective and pull the eye toward a vanishing point. Overcast days are ideal here because diffused light eliminates harsh shadows and keeps the detail in both bright glass surfaces and darker structural elements. The complex is fully accessible from the airport train station and open throughout the day; early morning gives you clean shots without crowds, and the interior atrium spaces are worth exploring for tighter architectural compositions.
