Designed by Jean Nouvel, Torre Glòries is one of Barcelona's most striking modern landmarks, a bullet-shaped tower wrapped in a latticed steel and glass facade that glows with shifting colors at night through its programmable LED lighting system. The tower photographs beautifully from ground level looking up, where the geometric mesh creates strong abstract patterns, or from a wider distance where you can capture the full form against the sky. Blue hour and full dark are when this location truly comes alive, as the illuminated facade shifts through vivid hues and reflects in the surrounding plaza surfaces. A wide-angle lens works well for close architectural abstracts, while a short telephoto helps compress the tower against the cityscape from farther back. The plaza around the base is fully accessible and gives you room to circle the structure and find your angle. (Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain)
