Tulpeiland
In the Wolderwijd off the coast of Zeewolde you will find a special peninsula in the shape of a tulip. The calyx of the tulip, the main island, is the size of a football field and the elongated natural islands form the stem. A 200-meter breakwater connects the island to the mainland. The island has been planted with thousands of tulip bulbs so every spring the peaceful island erupts with a rainbow of colour. The island is best photographed with a drone to capture the full effect.
