These twin towers flanking the Centro Vasco da Gama shopping complex in the Parque das Nações district were built for Expo 98 and are among Lisbon's most striking pieces of contemporary architecture. The curved glass facades and the dramatic vertical fins rising from the rooftops give the towers a nautical quality that rewards tight architectural shots as well as wider environmental frames. Shoot from across the reflecting pools or from street level looking up to emphasize the height and symmetry of the pair. Midday light can be harsh but works well for high-contrast black and white edits, while the golden hour softens the glass and adds warm tones to the curves. A wide angle lens lets you capture both towers together, while a longer focal length isolates the fins and facade details. The area is pedestrian-friendly and easy to navigate on foot from Oriente station. (Lisbon, Portugal)
