The reflective ponds are among the most rewarding spots, particularly the central lake where weeping willows and surrounding foliage mirror cleanly on calm mornings. Spring brings rhododendrons and cherry blossoms for close-up floral work, while autumn transforms the garden into rich golds and reds that reward wider compositions with a 24-70mm range. The Elizabethan Maze makes a strong geometric subject from slightly elevated angles near its edges. Overcast days are ideal here since diffused light eliminates harsh shadows between dense plantings and keeps colors saturated.
