View of Blvd Robert Bourassa
Boulevard Robert Bourassa splits into two one-way corridors separated by a narrow, tree-lined median park that runs for several blocks through downtown Montreal, creating a natural tunnel effect that works beautifully for long-exposure light trail shots. Position yourself low on the median and use a wide-to-standard zoom, around 24-50mm, to compress the parallel streams of traffic into converging lines leading toward the downtown skyline. The art installations along the median add sculptural foreground interest and reflect light well after dark. Blue hour and full night are when this spot truly delivers, with headlights and taillights forming warm and white streaks on either side of you; bring a tripod and shoot at 10 to 20 seconds for the best trail effect. The median is accessible on foot and gives you a central vantage point between both directions of traffic, so stay aware of your surroundings. (Montreal, Quebec, Canada)
