A great hilltop spot offering an expansive view of Fortezza dell Verrucole with convenient parking. The Renaissance fortress, for about 400 years, was an impregnable military garrison of the dukes of Este di Ferrara-Modena and today, after restoration by the Municipality of San Romano it is the site for historical re-enactments.
