Scotland's greatest man-made wonder, this cantilever railway bridge across the Firth of Forth is considered an iconic structure and a symbol of Scotland. Opened on 4 March 1890 by the Duke of Rothesay, the future Edward VII, the bridge is 8,094 feet and when opened was the longest in the world. It is currently second, eclipsed by the Quebec Bridge, in Canada. (North Queensferry, Scotland)
