View of Tokyo Gate Bridge
Wakasu Park's eastern waterfront gives you a ground-level view of the Tokyo Gate Bridge that is hard to beat, with the twin truss towers rising dramatically over Tokyo Bay in a face-off silhouette that earned the structure its "Dinosaur Bridge" nickname. Walk the paved path along the park's edge and experiment with compression by shooting from different distances; a longer focal length, around 70-200mm, helps isolate the towers and flatten the perspective so the two structures appear to loom toward each other. Sunrise is the strongest time to shoot, when soft golden light catches the steel framework and the bay is calm enough to pick up reflections. Early morning also means minimal haze, which matters a lot in Tokyo Bay. The park is accessible by bus from Tatsumi Station and has open shoreline with room to move laterally and refine your framing.
