Giant Ghibli Clock

Giant Ghibli Clock - Photo by Arjan Richter1 / 1
📷Arjan Richter

Steampunk-style copper clock by filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, complete with lights, music & animated parts. It is considered to be one of the biggest clocks in the world - weighing 28 tons, and it can perform 32 mechanical tricks. The clock comes to life every day at 12 PM, 3 PM, 6 PM and 8 PM. During the weekends, an extra show is added at 10 AM. Usually the clock starts moving 3-4 minutes before the hour. At night the show takes on a whole new life as it is all lit up and almost has an eerie feel to it. (Tokyo, Japan)
