About Wat Aphay
Wat Aphay is a serene temple with incredible architectural detailing - less tourist filled then the other temples closer to the heart of town. The gold relief work on the front gable of the roof is both brilliant and understated, as are the bronze garudas which sit at the end of each of the parapet walls on the three section roof. (Luang Prabang, Laos)
