World's Oldest McDonald's
The McDonald's restaurant in Downey, California, is the oldest Mcdonald's in the world. It was the third one ever built and has remained virtually unchanged since its opening in 1953. Very few early McDonald's restaurants still exist because the McDonald's Corporation required its franchisees to update their buildings. However, this restaurant escaped demolition and updating due to its contract in early franchise agreements. Eventually, the restaurant was purchased by the McDonald's corporation, which now maintains it as the oldest one in existence. It makes a fantastic car shoot location in California for old and retro autos. (Downey, California, USA)
