Ypsilon Bridge
Ypsilon Bridge is a striking cable-stayed pedestrian bridge in Drammen that splits into three arms over the Drammenselva river, forming a Y shape that makes it one of the most architecturally distinctive footbridges in Norway. The geometry gives you a lot to work with: shoot from the riverbank to capture the full Y form with the cable stays fanning outward, or walk onto one of the arms and use the railings and cables as converging leading lines toward the central pylon. A wide angle lens works well for capturing the full structure, while a longer focal length lets you isolate the cable details against the sky. Blue hour and overcast days both suit this location well, softening reflections on the water and reducing harsh shadows on the white structure. The bridge is fully accessible on foot and sits close to the Drammen city center, making it easy to combine with other shots along the riverfront. (Drammen, Viken, Norway)
