7th Ave View
Standing at this stretch of 7th Avenue, you get a powerful urban corridor shot with Midtown Manhattan's skyscrapers forming tight canyon walls on either side. The geometry here rewards a wide-angle lens, letting you compress the buildings while pulling in the energy of taxis, pedestrians, and signage filling the frame. Look south toward Times Square for a blaze of color and light, or turn north for a cleaner perspective where the avenue stretches toward Central Park with a more classic New York skyline feel. Early morning gives you the best chance at lighter foot traffic and softer light raking across the facades, while blue hour and after dark transform the street into a stream of headlights and glowing storefronts. A tripod is useful for long exposures at night, and shooting from the center median, where safe, gives you a strong symmetrical composition. (New York City, New York, United States)
